We can install glass pet doors in any type of door or full-length window. Please keep in mind that if a pet door is installed in a glass door or window, the glass must be toughened glass to comply with Australian Standard AS1288. Questions about pet doors
How much does it cost to install a pet door in glass?
It depends on the door size and the glass, since the panel usually needs to be toughened. We'll give you a free quote once we know what you need.
Can you fit a pet door into a glass sliding door?
Yes. We fit pet doors into glass doors and full-length windows. The glass needs to be toughened to meet AS1288, which we can supply if needed.
Do I need a different door for a cat?
Often yes. Cats and dogs have different needs, so we fit dedicated dog doors and cat doors. See those pages for the differences.
Will I need new glass for my pet door?
If your existing glass isn't toughened, the panel will need to be replaced with toughened glass so the pet door is safe and compliant. We can sort that as part of the job.
Can the pet door be locked?
Yes. Most pet doors we fit can be locked, so you can keep your pet in or out when you need to.
